Working on Halloween Stuff

Hello Ladies,
I know its been so long since I've done anything. I have been working on some Halloween Stuff. Here are two adorable little coffins I made.. The one is almost completely cased from Janine Tinklenberg she even gives you the directions on how to make it. Thanks Janine.
On the one coffin, I used shrink paper and shrinked the bats, SU's "From the Crypt" set and the headstone, SU's "Graveyard Gala".
I am working on making some coffin necklaces to place in mine as gifts, so hope to have them done by next weekend. Also here is a candle I stamped. I stamped all the way around the the candle.

Hello Ladies,
So many have asked about the kittens.. Here are pics of my lastest group of Foster Kittens. Bliss, Blythe, and Brayden are from the same litter born April 29th 2009. I found them at my husbands work. I trapped both mom and dad kitty, they got fixed, rabies shots and re-released, they were ferral. Bradley comes from another litter and at the time was the only kitten that had been caught. Hope you enjoy the pics, they are all little fur angels and so curious about everything...

Foster Kitten Photo Album (Non SU)

Hello Ladies,
I foster kittens. I TNR (Trap, Neuter, & Release) Ferral cats. I caught a mom, dad and 3 babies back in May. Mom & Dad got fixed and shots and were released back to where I found them. The babies I kept and have been working with them. They are now up for adoption. I have a good application on the 2 girls. I decided to make this book for their new forever mom.

Graduation Explosion Box

Hello Ladies,
Its been so long since I have logged in.. so sorry about that...
Here is an explosion box I have made for a graduation gift. I have 3 more to make for different High Schools. Hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them. I was gonna offer a class for them, but noticed that Stampin Up is retiring the graduation stamps. I Hope they have some new ones coming out in the new catalog.. In the next few weeks I will surely work up writing up directions on this.

Faux Alligator Stuff, who saids it can't be Pink

Hello Ladies,
sorry I haven't posted in a while my camera and computer weren't working well together...
Anyways, I think I solved the problem...
I saw the "Faux Alligator Techinque" and had to play..
I have tons of Cranberry Crisp paper left over and in the next few weeks you will probably seen lots of cranberry crisp faux alligator stuff...lol
Here are 3 little things I have done so far. The matchbox is in chocolate chip and I use the Stampin Up XL die for it. The purse is in Cranberry Crisp, I copied the design from Gretchen Barron's design . Then the notebook and pen I did in pink pirouette. The notebook doesn't show up as well in the photo, but is so cute. I love monogram stuff. I will probably be doing a cute little class using this techinque. Stamps used: Oval All, To have & to Hold, Together Forever, and Forever Flowers.
Papers used: Vanilla, Brushed Gold, Black, Regal Rose.

Mom's Get Well Cards

Hello Ladies,
I wanted to thank you for all the wonderful thank you cards. I read each and everyone over and over to her and even describe them to her. She passed away Feb 28th 2009. She wasn't getting better, her kidneys had stopped working her heart needed help to pump, plus of tons of other things. The last few weeks, I was fortunate I could go the hosptial everyday and be with her and help with my dad and rest of my family. She was a wonderful lady and will be truely missed.
I have enclosed a copy of her obituary incase you chose to read. She had a full and wonderful life and I can not wait til I can be with her again.

Hello Ladies,

Here are some gift cards I made.. I used an retired SU stamp set for the cardinal card and current stamp set for the snowman. Stamp sets used are Christmas Cardinal, Winter Post and Holiday Lineup and Bold Snowflake Wheel. I embossed the snowflake wheel, I really think it makes the card. This is for a scrapbooking swap using the holiday mini. Since I am not a scrapbooker, I hope it will please the participants. The mummy is strips of torn card stock sponged with creamy caramel ink. I learned this from stamping school . He can hold a photo under the corner, and even be written on for journaling. The scallop circles are on dimensionals so they also can hold picture, and the top side of the tab has repositional glue for this purpose as well. Each one is 6x6. I can see this as a 6x6 card as well. If the reciever is a scrapbooker,she could just cut the 2 apart.

Paper: Basic aBlack, Only Orange, Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla

I wanted to play with the Chipboard letters. I covered them with the "H" & the "Y" with Simply scrappin' hostess set "Friends & Flowers". The other letters I just covered with paper and then stamped on them. The first "e" I used stamp set "Double-line Doodles" which is a new set that I got at regionals. The "d" I used "Polka dots & paisley". The second "e" I used the a stamp from "Cats Meow". The "b" I used "Polka dots & paisley". The background flowers are from simply scrappin' "Friends & Flowers". The two paisleys come from me winning blog candy from Donna.

A few of you have contacted me and said you can not see my slide show... I have no idea why you can not... Im sorry for that, but it maybe that your connection is not DSL or Cable and it will just not load.. I have checked a few times and my slide show is there and working perfectly.

Basket I did

Here is a basket I did for Curves. I used the Petals & Paisley Paper.

I recently joined Curves and trying to get fit. I am in the process of doing a swap for that.

Glass Block

Hello Ladies,

Here are the directions for a glass block I did for Valentines Day. I did many for Christmas but didn't take any pictures of them(wish I had).

Here are the directions, Hope you do one soon, love to see it.

I used Pittsburgh Corning Glass Blocks (8"x8"x3") from Lowes. Drilled a hole with the drill press using a Diamond Rimmed Core Bit. The drilling took about 1 minute per block. Used one hand to spray the water and the other to pull down the press. I used my Parents drill press in NJ and prefer to use that, but I have used a hand drill. Hand drill takes longer, and uses two people to do it.
After cleaning and drying the blocks...
1. Cut the paper you want to use to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" . Decorate how you want to.

2. Cut a piece of O'So Sticky Tape to 6" x 6".

3. Use a small amount of hermafix, or mono, or double sided tape to center the paper on the glass block.

4. Peel a little of the back down of O'So Sticky Tape and put it 1/4" over the top of the paper. Press down firmly. Pull the rest of the back of O'So sticky tape down a little at a time, pressing down as you go, until the paper is completely covered.

5. Roll brayer over the top to make sure the O'So Sticky Tape is secured around all edges.

6. Peel off the top of the O'So Sticky Tape.

7. Pour clear microbeads all over the O'So Sticky Tape.

8. Roll brayer over the top to really seat the beads. Gently brush off extra beads.

9. Put lights into the block, leaving the plug end hanging out. Put a small piece of O'So Sticky Tape on the cord to attach it to the block. Don't peel off red liner. (I used a 50 light string set.)

10. Wrap ribbon around block and secure on top with hot glue or more O'So Sticky Tape.

11. Cut a length of ribbon to make the bow. Hot glue finished bow on top of block.

I got the sticky tape from www.pennywisearts.com and I also got my microbeads from there. They have colored one and different size ones.

Faux Postage Card

I was playing around making some cards and came up with this one.The background postage is an actual stamp. It is made by a company called "Just for Fun".

Hostess Swap I was in

Hello Ladies,

Recently I joined a Hostess Swap. Liz in MD was the hostess. I got back lots of nice stuff. The above picture is what I recieved back.

What I did for the swap was got a pocket calendar book and decorated it for the swap. I got the pocket calendars at Wal-mart for .97 each. I also created a calendar book mark.

Day Planner: Used sage shadow, pale plum and vanilla card stock. Stamps I used Floral background, heartfelt thanks.I used the SU Markers to color the flowers.
Bookmark: I used Roses in Winter stamp set. Colors of ink Rose red & regal rose. Always artichoke & mellow moss.

Sweet Treats Pin

Hello Ladies,

I just finished this pin. I got the pin at Michaels. I used Shrinky dink white paper. I used staz-on ink and then colored with watercolor wonder crayons. The Stampin Up set is the retired set Sweet Treats. I love this set, shame it's retired. I will probably be making more of these sets. I played some with Summer Sizzle set, but didn't make the wholes big enough for pins, so I will probably just be putting them on cards. I hope you enjoy

Lets Get Fit Together Swap

I just joined Curves and looking to get fit and lose some weight.
This swap is to help others do the same. I recently posted on some yahoo groups, that I was looking for ideas for ladies trying to lose weight. I meant craft things to make, but I didn’t get my point across and instead, I got ladies sharing their personal secrets on what helped them to lose some weight, which leads me to this Swap. I got a lot of great ideas from ladies and figured this would be a great thing to do and make a swap out of.

This swap will have two different groups:

1. Recipes
This group is for your favorite diet recipe.
This can also be taking a great recipe and showing how to
Alter it to make it healthier.

2. Ideas & Things that helped You
This group is any ideas or things that you found helped you to reach your goal. You can put as many things on the card you can fit and care to share with others. Things like what helped you or not, websites, TV programs, etc.

This swap is a 10+2(yes 2) I will be doing a drawing for this set at my local Curves to motivate other ladies.

I will also have a group of ladies judge your work and will award the best card a Gift Set. This is a gift set that I’ve
made. It will include a Gift box (to hold your cards), a nugget box (sugar-free or low calorie nuggets), post-it note holder, mini composition book, a pen, and a candle. There is a picture of the gift set on my blog (minus the candle and pen)I gave them away to a friend who wanted them, so I have to make those two things again.

Instructions:
Count: 10+2(12 total)
Size: Card Front size, you can print either way, long ways or short ways.
Recipes: YES!! But do not attach them!! Make sure you have your e-mail address on them (that is how I will tell you that you won).
Current SU Products: If SU doesn’t have it, you can use it from other sources, like, paperclips, and such.
Printing: You can handwrite your stuff on your card, if you have good handwriting (remember these will be judged). Or you can print them on the printer. If you do not have the font disc, I will not hold you to that. You can use any font, to print your card.

Mailing: NO RETURN METERED STRIPS. My PO will not take them, If you want returned priority, I will provide the box, just make sure you have the return postage.
Whatever the package costs for you to send to me, make sure you have that much plus two extra stamps incase I need them(I will return them if not used)

New Name Frames, esp for Sports Fans

My hubby is a big sports fan. He loves the Dallas Cowboy's. My Son loves Ohio State and my Niece goes to College in Virginia. I did them frames for their favorite schools and sports.

The stamping is Stampin Up alphabets, but the rest are things I bought from local stamp stores.

These make great gifts for the student in college or the boy who has a favorite team.

Here are 3 cards I did with the similar design and sets.I did two with silver and black, and the third with silver and blue.The backgrounds embossed. The stamp set used in all three cards are Along the Same Lines(it was a hostess set 2005-2006).Background stamps are: Happy Birthday Greetings, Floral, and Lots of Hearts Wheel. Mini Paperbag Gift Card Holder

Hello Ladies,
I made a bunch of these for Christmas and other things. They make not only the gift card a present but the little card it comes in too. I enjoy making these and doing them in so many designs. I just got my new spring stamps and wanted to use this set. I had seen a lady that did a similar card using this set and love it, so I had to case it. I am going to a local Stampin’ Up gathering soon. We all need to do a swap to share and also to share one of our ideas, this is going to be my idea. The top picture is the outside and the bottom is the inside, with a little pull out so you can sign it.

My Name Frame

Good Morning Ladies,
I've been cleaning house and decided to take a break and post.
I did this sign a while back, but I wanted to share. I've done many of these as gifts. There easy, and look expensive. Makes someone really thing you spent alot on them....shhh don't tell them....lol

First Faux Post Swap has Arrived!

Hello Ladies,
I got my first faux postage in and it's lovely. Thanks Chris. Chris has done swaps with me before and always does just the best work. Here is yet another example.
Stamp sets: french script, doodle that, mini mates.
Card stock: yoyo yellow, regal rose, certainly celery and whisper white.
Ink: yoyo yellow, certainly celery, basic black.
misc: spiral punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, maize, celery & rose grosgrain ribbon, paper clip, dimensionals, "stamp" decorative scissors.

Band-aid tins at Wal-mart

Hello Ladies.
I have been looking for metal band-aid tins and figured I was just gonna have to order them from provo or another such site. I was in wal-mart last week and found these near the check-out.
They are .97 cents each. I bought a bunch to play with.
So not only do you save on the cost of the tins, shipping and waiting for them to arrive, you get gum too….lol
Just wanted to share . I will keep you posted what I do with them.

Ladies, before I get bashed for shopping at wal-mart(again!) for posting this, I live in a small town and do not have many choices of shopping. The nearest Target, k-mart, circuit city, or any other major shopping is over 20 miles away. I'm also sure you can get these tins at other stores, I just do not have access to one, on a daily, or sometimes weekly basis.

Round Tab Punch Part III

Hello Ladies,
Here is a chart of Ideas from a lady name Judi(thanks Judi for sharing). Enjoy!

ROUND TAB PUNCH IDEAS
Make tabs (using SU color cardstock) for cardstock file folder tabs. These could be stapled on the folder.

Make catalog section tabs from color cardstock for your customers.

Make a fun business card by creating a Rolodex business card with a tab.

Make dividers for lunch box tins.

Use your extra set of catalog tabs (SU sent a while back) and place them over punched cardstock. Add snail adhesive to the back side of the tabs and attach to catalog.

Make magnetic cookbook page tabs. Put a small magnet on the bottom of the tab to reuse them, like the book markers Make labels such as 'dinner idea', 'family favorite', 'snack idea', etc. Tab your favorite recipes or ones you would like to try!

Make alphabetical tabs for address books using designer paper. Use the tab punch to make each letter tab. Stamp the letter on the tab using one of the SU alphabet sets.

Create interactive scrapbook tabs – use punch to make pull / open tabs.

Make sticker tabs from a full sheet sticker labels (the ones that don't have any labels cut out of them--just a full sheet of sticker) or run a sheet of paper through a Xyron.

Use up your stash of scraps from cardstock and designer papers. Make a bunch of punched tabs, put ten of them in a cello bag, make a topper and give them as little door prizes.

Make small & large brackets by punching once through your cardstock using the side of the punch. Then punch again in the same spot moving the punch over slightly. You can make the brackets as thick as you'd like them depending on how far over you move the punch each time. This makes a longer bracket than what I used on my card. I trimmed the ends off so it would be shorter. The longer bracket would be great for larger letters or sayings.

Create scalloped edges. Use the very top of the punch - the round part only. Looking at the back, metal side of the punch, insert the paper only up to where the rounded part stops & the straight part of the tab starts (about 5/16") and punch. Move it over and punch again. It's just like the slit punch in a way.

Make removable tabs using 2-way glue Item 100425. Let glue dry before sticking the pieces together. These could be used by customers to mark pages in a catalog.

Create design elements by using tabs on scrapbook pages and cards.

Put thin magnets inside the tabs used at workshops to mark pages that customers are interested in items. Use them yourself to mark pages temporarily with the sets used in projects, etc. Use them as a booking incentive.

Laminate tabs with mac-tac or contact paper. Or if you have a Xyron, use that.

Making Brackets with round tab punch

I just saw this posted on a yahoo group and had to share. I love to read so many things from so many talented ladies. This is another great reason to buy the round tab punch.

Not only can you use it as a index tab punch as it was made for but you can also make some adorable brackets also! Oh what fun you can have with this punch!

I did this about 2 months ago and the paper still smells like shaving cream...lol. I did a drawing at a few of my classes and you got a chance to win one of these. I was going to teach the shaving cream technique, its fun to do but it takes a day to dry so you can’t use the paper right away.

I love doing swaps, and looking at creations from so many talented ladies. I just wish I had customers that wanted to buy as many stamps sets as I do….lol . I will be showing more cards from my swaps later this week. I think so many talented ladies cards are just not viewed cause so many just don’t post their incredible work. I learn so much from all these talented ladies. To all the ladies that join my swaps, thank you!!
